Field Trip Program
Confetti² PlayTown provides a safe, supervised, and developmentally appropriate environment for students to engage in structured, movement-based exploration within the miniature town environment and role-play jobs within a community. Our program consists of guided role-play and an art project to reflect on learning through visual art.
All staff hold current Vulnerable Sector Checks, and school supervision ratios are maintained throughout the visit.
Imagination Town: Community, Creativity & Play
JK–Grade 1 | 3–4 Hours
Imagination Town: Community, Creativity & Play is a structured, curriculum-aligned experiential learning program designed for Kindergarten to Grade 1 students. The program integrates guided dramatic play, movement-based learning, and visual arts to support students’ understanding of community roles, creative expression, and social interaction.
Students explore a simulated community environment through active, imaginative role-play and reflect on their experiences through a curriculum-informed art activity. The program is designed to balance movement and engagement with focused creative work, supporting both learning and self-regulation.

1. Introduction (15–20 minutes)
Students are welcomed and introduced to the concept of community.
Discussion ideas:
What is a community?
Who helps us in our community?
What roles can people have within a community?
2. Guided Dramatic Play (60–90 minutes)
Students engage in structured, movement-based exploration within the miniature town environment and role-play jobs within a community.

3. Art Activity: “My Place in the Community” (45–60 minutes)
Students create a mixed-media artwork representing a role they explored along with a written or dictated sentence.

use collage materials for texture and depth
4. Classroom Reflection (Post-Visit)
“In my community, I am a ______. I help my community by ______.”
This can be compiled into a class book to demonstrate understanding of community roles and to reinforce shared understanding that a community is unified.
Cost: $18/child (+HST)
Adults are included at the ratio of 5:1 ~ Minimum of 25 kids ~
All art supplies are included.
Additional adults are $2.50 per adult (+HST)
Please bring your own lunch & snacks. A lunchroom will be provided.
